Worship is the heart of our common life at Christ Church. Rooted in the Book of Common Prayer and enriched by centuries of Anglican hymnody, our services invite you into the ancient rhythms of praise, prayer, scripture, and sacrament. Whether you are drawn to the quiet intimacy of an early morning Eucharist or the full splendor of choral worship, there is a place for you here.

What to Expect
Episcopal worship follows the liturgy of the Book of Common Prayer, a pattern of worship shared by Anglicans around the world. You do not need to know the prayers or responses by heart — everything is printed in the bulletin or found in the prayer book in the pew rack.
Our services include scripture readings, psalms, hymns, a sermon, and Holy Communion. All baptized Christians are welcome to receive Communion regardless of denomination. If you prefer, you may come forward with your arms crossed over your chest to receive a blessing instead.
You will notice that we stand, sit, and kneel at various points in the service. Feel free to participate as you are comfortable — there is no wrong way to worship with us.
